This is for all of you who use your crock-pot!
There are those who bake and those who cook. Most of the time they do not go hand in hand - just like English and Math majors. Is this the same for crock-pot cookers? Are they a third option?
It seems that 98% of the dishes I make in my crock-pot always come out the same. The sauce tastes burnt and so does whatever I'm cooking in the pot. I do not like burnt sauce and I don't like my food tasting like that! Or, my meat comes out dry because I'm not there to keep an eye on the water level. I'm sorry, I use a crock-pot so dinner can cook while I'm at work.
This is to you, my avid 5 readers - and anyone reading by. What are your takes on the crock-pot? I think it's great to keep my chip dip or meatballs warm and that's it. Please change my mind.

I love my crock pot! Use it about once or twice a week.
My tips:
1. Use a timer (if it doesn't have one) and enough broth, so things don't dry out an burn.
2. Whenever possible I avoid any red sauces, since they tend burn.
3. If I am not home I always set it to low no matter what the receipe says... Better a little under cooked than over, just saying.
Hope that helps!
Also, Have you thought about the fact that your crock pot may not be working properly?
